Return and handling systems are an essential component of any efficient edgebanding line. OTT Paul offers three return systems with TRANScompact, TRANSlift and TRANSedge, each tailored to different requirements. From compact workshop return to high-cycle industrial systems, every operation finds the right solution.
A return system enables single-operator running of the edgebanding machine: the operator loads the workpiece, the machine processes the edge, and the return system automatically transports the finished part back to the operator. Without a return system, a second employee is needed to remove parts at the machine outfeed. The investment in a return system therefore pays for itself quickly through saved labour costs.
OTT offers three system variants: TRANScompact (compact, with rotation function, for Pacific+ and Tornado+), TRANSlift (vertical return, space-saving, for Storm+, StrongEdge, TopEdge) and TRANSedge (specialized for edgebanding lines, highest cycle rate, for Storm+ and TopEdge). Three return systems for three requirement profiles
TRANScompact is the compact entry system with rotation for smaller workshops. TRANSlift uses vertical space and saves floor area. TRANSedge is optimized for maximum cycle rate in industrial edgebanding lines. Each system can be combined with all OTT edgebanding machines.
Single-operator running and return on investment
The greatest economic advantage of a return system is the saving of a second operator. At average labour costs, a TRANScompact pays for itself within a few months. For larger systems like TRANSlift and TRANSedge, increased productivity further contributes to rapid return on investment.
Recommended combinations with OTT machines
Pacific+ and Tornado+ pair best with TRANScompact. FlexEdge can be combined with TRANScompact or TRANSlift. For Storm+ and StrongEdge, we recommend TRANSlift or TRANSedge. The TopEdge achieves its full potential in combination with TRANSedge for maximum cycle rate.
