In Detail
The OTT TopEdge is the flagship of the OTT edgebanding machines and represents the highest performance tier for industrial furniture production. Available in two variants - S (9.2 m) and L (10.2 m) - it offers maximum flexibility and precision. The S variant processes board thicknesses up to 60 mm and edge thicknesses up to 20 mm, while the L variant handles boards up to 80 mm and edges up to 25 mm.
With feed speeds of 12 to 22 m/min and comprehensive standard equipment, the TopEdge is designed for industrial line operation. CombiMelt PUR, Beckhoff control, milling unit, trimming unit, scraper blade, profile scraper blade, corner rounding AKF and pressure zone are all included as standard. The Beckhoff control enables full Industry 4.0 integration as with the FlexEdge.
The TopEdge is aimed at large furniture manufacturers, kitchen builders and industrial operations that demand the highest standards of edge quality, throughput and reliability. The L variant with 80 mm board thickness capacity is unique in the OTT range and serves niches such as heavy worktops, counter construction and laboratory furnishings. Applications
Industrial line operation with maximum precision
The TopEdge is the centrepiece of industrial edgebanding lines. With up to 22 m/min feed speed, CombiMelt PUR and Beckhoff control, it delivers edge quality at the highest level in continuous operation. The profile scraper blade also enables processing of profiled edges and postforming edges.
L variant for heavy boards up to 80 mm
The TopEdge L is the only OTT machine that can process board thicknesses up to 80 mm. This makes it the ideal solution for manufacturing heavy worktops, shop counters, laboratory furniture and other products from thick substrate materials. With edge thicknesses up to 25 mm, it also covers heavy solid wood edges.
Future-proof investment with Industry 4.0
The standard Beckhoff control makes the TopEdge the most future-proof edgebanding machine in the OTT portfolio. Via OPC-UA, production data can be transmitted in real time to MES and ERP systems. Recipe management, predictive maintenance and remote diagnostics are available as standard.
