In Detail
The OTT StrongEdge is the only edgebanding machine in the OTT range capable of processing edge thicknesses up to 25 mm. At 8.6 metres in length with feed speeds of 12 to 20 m/min, it is specifically designed for professional processing of heavy and thick edges as required in solid wood furniture manufacturing, door and window production, and high-end interior construction.
The StrongEdge is equipped with heavy-duty milling units optimized for processing thick solid wood edges. The CombiMelt PUR system is included as standard equipment, providing waterproof, high-load glue joints. Pressure zone, trimming unit, scraper blade and corner rounding complete the equipment package. The reinforced construction of the milling and processing units ensures that even hard wood species such as oak, beech or walnut are processed cleanly and precisely.
For furniture manufacturers who process solid wood edges and real wood profiles in addition to standard ABS edges, the StrongEdge offers unique versatility. Combined with TRANSlift or TRANSedge return systems, a powerful production line can be established. Solid wood furniture and real wood edges
The StrongEdge processes solid wood edges up to 25 mm thick, making it the only OTT machine for heavy real wood profiles. Whether oak, beech, walnut or maple, the heavy-duty milling units and reinforced construction deliver perfect results even with hard wood species.
Door and window manufacturing
Door and window manufacturing frequently requires thick edges and profiles. The StrongEdge, with its processing capacity up to 25 mm edge thickness, provides the necessary reserve for these applications. Combined with the DoorEdition special machine, OTT covers the entire range of door manufacturing.
Buying Guide
The StrongEdge is the right choice if you regularly process solid wood edges or thick edges above 15 mm. No other OTT model offers this capacity. If you mainly process thin ABS and PVC edges, the Storm+ or FlexEdge is the more economical option.
