In Detail
The OTT FlexEdge is the newest addition to the OTT machine portfolio, bridging the gap between the proven Tornado+ and the high-performance Storm+. At 7.1 metres in length with feed speeds of 12 to 20 m/min, it positions itself as a professional edgebanding machine for demanding joinery workshops and medium-sized furniture manufacturers who value future-proof technology.
The highlight of the FlexEdge is the Beckhoff control with 18.5-inch touchscreen and OPC-UA interface, fitted as standard. This makes the machine fully Industry 4.0 capable, enabling seamless integration into networked production environments. Recipe management, diagnostics and remote maintenance are conveniently handled through the modern control system. The FlexEdge processes edge thicknesses from 0.3 to 15 mm and comes equipped with joint processing, CombiMelt, milling unit, scraper blade and corner rounding.
