The OTT CombiMelt is a complete service station for processing EVA and PUR adhesives on edgebanding machines. As an external melting system, it can be connected to all OTT edgebanding machines, extending their capabilities to include processing of high-quality PUR hot-melt adhesives. The patented Top-Driven-Roller technology ensures a uniform, bubble-free glue application.
The CombiMelt features two separate containers for EVA and PUR adhesive. A quick-change system enables fast switching between both adhesive types without lengthy cleaning times. The PUR container is hermetically sealed to protect the moisture-curing adhesive from premature hardening. The service station significantly simplifies cleaning and maintenance.
PUR adhesive offers decisive advantages over EVA: the glue joint is water-resistant, heat-resistant and virtually invisible. This makes PUR the preferred choice for kitchen furniture, wet-room cabinetry and anywhere the highest edge quality is required. As the authorized OTT dealer for CZ, SK and HU, Asamer is happy to advise you on retrofitting the CombiMelt system to your existing OTT edgebander or integrating it into a new installation.
The CombiMelt can be retrofitted to all OTT edgebanding machines. Operations that have so far only worked with EVA can expand their range of services to include PUR bonding without having to buy a new machine. Retrofitting is carried out by Asamer on-site in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
PUR adhesive cures by reacting with atmospheric moisture, forming a permanently waterproof bond. In kitchen furniture and wet-room cabinetry, PUR bonding is now standard. The CombiMelt enables fast switching between EVA (for standard applications) and PUR (for moisture-resistant edges).
