In Detail

The Mayer advanced line 160 turn extends the proven 160 platform with an automatic 90-degree turning unit, enabling double-sided processing in a single pass. This panel dividing saw is specifically designed for production lines where longitudinal and cross cuts need to be performed without manual repositioning of workpieces. The 160 mm cutting height, 35 kW motor and 600 mm saw blade with 180 mm projection deliver the same capability as the standard 160 version. The automatic turning unit rotates panels by 90 degrees and positions them for the next cut, accelerating material flow and minimising operator intervention. This is particularly valuable when processing large-format aluminium composite panels and heavy plastic sheets that are difficult to handle manually. The Dual Servo Drive system guarantees the highest positioning accuracy even after the turning operation. The comfortable operability enables easy material handling even with oversized panels. The cutting length is configurable between 3,200 and 4,200 mm. The double pressure beam with laser measurement ensures that both cutting directions achieve the same precision. The advanced line 160 turn is the logical choice for operations wanting to take productivity and automation in aluminium and plastics processing to the next level. Applications

Automated longitudinal and cross cuts in a single pass

The 90-degree turning unit of the advanced line 160 turn enables longitudinal and cross cuts without manual repositioning. Panels are automatically rotated and positioned for the next cut. This increases throughput by up to 40% compared to machines without a turning unit and reduces staffing requirements.

Large-format aluminium processing

When processing large-format aluminium panels and composites, the turning unit is an enormous advantage: heavy panels do not need to be turned manually, improving ergonomics, preventing damage and optimising material flow.

Buying Guide

Choose the advanced line 160 turn when your production regularly requires longitudinal and cross cuts on aluminium or plastic panels and you want to automate the turning process. The investment pays off through higher throughput and lower staffing requirements. Asamer advises you on the optimal configuration.

FAQ

What does the turning unit of the advanced line 160 turn do?

The automatic 90-degree turning unit rotates workpieces by 90 degrees after the longitudinal cut and positions them for the cross cut. Both cutting directions are performed in a single pass without manual intervention.

How much productivity gain does the turning unit provide?

The turning unit can increase throughput by up to 40% as manual turning and repositioning of panels is eliminated and the material flow runs continuously.

What materials is the advanced line 160 turn suitable for?

The advanced line 160 turn is suitable for aluminium, aluminium composite panels, non-ferrous metals and all types of plastics, from acrylic glass and PVC to high-performance engineering plastics.
