The Gannomat Variabel is a flexibly configurable dowel insertion machine for joinery shops with changing workpiece assortment. The name is the programme: drilling and setting units can be adjusted to different carcass widths, hole spacings and dowel diameters without having to purchase several machines. The Variabel is thus aimed at medium-sized operations that do not run pure series but produce beyond pure custom work — such as furniture manufacturers with changing customer orders or kitchen makers with a broad carcass range. Changeover takes place mechanically after brief instruction. Asamer supplies the Variabel as authorized Gannomat dealer to Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, including advice on the optimal base configuration.
Anyone producing living-room carcasses today, kitchen base units tomorrow and office shelving the day after needs a machine that keeps pace with this change. The Variabel allows switching between different workpiece types without long rebuild times.
For operations that find the Basica too simple and an Express S3 too specialised, the Variabel fills exactly that gap. It combines mechanical robustness with the configuration variety that a broader product range requires.
The Variabel is ideal for joinery shops with 5–15 employees and broad product portfolio at moderate throughput. Anyone producing pure standard carcasses in series runs more efficiently with Express S2/S3; for RTA fittings, the Express S1/S2 RTA is the right variant.
The common carcass widths and dowel spacings can be set mechanically — in practice this covers the vast majority of furniture tasks.
