The UniWood UWL 3 is the standard vacuum lifter for manual wood handling. Its 90° tipping mechanism manipulates panels both vertically and horizontally and covers all common wood-based materials – from coated panels to slightly textured surfaces.
The Barbaric UWL-3 is a vacuum lifter for ergonomic handling of large panel materials in wood and furniture production. When unloading trucks or stacking panel material, the UWL-3 replaces manual lifting with a secure, controlled vacuum grip. Large formats and heavy panels can be moved by one person that otherwise requires two or three workers.
At the panel saw or CNC worktable, the UWL-3 speeds up panel loading and ensures exact positioning. The workpiece can be positioned without manual sliding — crucial for large formats or coated surfaces that must not be scratched.
The UWL-3 is the proven standard model — suitable for most joinery and furniture operations with classic panel handling. For especially thin or porous panels you need special suction cups (UWL-3S); for very heavy loads, the UWL-5. For coated panels with oil finish, Asamer clarifies suction technology individually.
The UWL-3 is designed for typical panel loads up to several hundred kilograms. The exact load capacity depends on the panel surface and suction cup configuration. Asamer calculates the suitable configuration in the preliminary consultation.
The UWL-3 holds vacuum for several minutes after power failure via buffer storage — sufficient to safely set down the load. Additionally, there are optical and acoustic warnings on vacuum loss.
Yes — vacuum lifters are subject to annual safety inspection in Germany/Austria/Czech Republic per DGUV. Asamer offers the inspection service as part of a maintenance package.
