This special traverse with 8 bellows suction cups (Ø 115 mm) on an extended adjustable cross-beam is suitable for handling thin sheet metal and Plexiglas parts. The outer suction cups can be switched off for shorter workpieces.
The Barbaric sheet metal and plexiglass traverse is a vacuum traverse for metal sheets and plastic flat materials — steel sheets, aluminium panels, stainless steel plates, plexiglass (acrylic), polycarbonate, rigid PVC and similar plastics. These materials differ significantly from wood: sheets are rigid but heavy; plexiglass is sensitive to scratches and static charge. The traverse works with specially coated suction cups that neither slip on metal nor leave marks on plastic. Suction cup distribution is matched to longitudinal formats up to 6 metres.
