BARBARIC UniWood UWL 5 is a special lifters for handling frames, sawn timber and special materials including air-permeable wood-fibre boards. Asamer delivers, installs and services BARBARIC systems in CZ, SK and HU.
The UniWood UWL 5 is a special lifting device with a slim base body for vertical and horizontal transport of door leaves. The 180° tipping mechanism allows rotation of door leaves in both directions.

The Barbaric UWL-5 is the heavy-duty vacuum lifter for industrial panel handling and large doors. It handles oversized panels, pressed solid wood worktops, heavy entrance doors or industrial gates where smaller vacuum lifters such as UWL-1 or UWL-3 reach their load limit. The reinforced frame construction, multiple parallel-working suction plates and a powerful vacuum pump with buffer reservoir deliver load capacities well beyond entry and standard models. Typical applications are door plants, packaging furniture manufacturers, kitchen builders with large-format panels and panel traders with XXL formats. Thanks to a redundant safety concept, the load remains securely held even in case of partial failure of a suction circuit. Asamer plans, supplies and services the UWL-5 as authorized Barbaric dealer in CZ, SK and HU — including structural verification of the supporting crane and DGUV safety acceptance.
Applications
For door manufacturing and project doors
Heavy entrance doors, fire protection or security doors quickly reach several hundred kilograms. The UWL-5 picks up these doors safely and positions them on the assembly line or in the dispatch buffer with millimetre precision — without additional helpers, without slipping risk and without damage to surface or fittings.
For XXL panels and industrial semi-finished products
Large-format panels, pressed solid wood worktops or industrial sandwich elements with steel or aluminium face layers can easily weigh several hundred kilograms per panel. The UWL-5 reliably handles such formats and prevents crush injuries that regularly occur in manual handling.
Buying Guide
The UWL-5 is the right choice when your loads exceed the capacity of UWL-3 or UWL-3J — typical for door plants, XXL panel trade or heavy industrial semi-finished products. For medium loads in classic furniture construction, the UWL-3 or the faster UWL-3J variant is sufficient. For very thin or porous materials in this weight class, Asamer combines the UWL-5 with UWL-3S suction technology. We verify your crane statics before delivery and adapt the suction plate arrangement to your specific panel formats.
