The DRX is Barbaric's newest door storage system. It combines compact design with high capacity for automatic storage and provision of doors in industrial manufacturing.
The Barbaric DRX is a specialised vacuum lifter for handling individual doors in door and furniture manufacturing. Unlike standard panel lifters, the DRX is designed for the specific requirements of door handling: asymmetric weight distribution, delicate surfaces and precise positioning when loading paint, assembly or packaging stations. The suction gripper configuration is matched to door formats; the control system allows millimetre-precise placement without tilting moments. Typical applications are door manufacturers (interior, entrance, sliding and special doors), door frame producers and furniture plants with integrated door production. The DRX relieves employees from heavy lifting, protects sensitive paint or foil surfaces from damage and increases productivity in door handling. When loading a door paint line, every door leaf must be placed exactly on the conveyor chain — without contact to the already-painted side. The DRX grips the door from below with vacuum and sets it down precisely without touching the top surface.
In final door assembly and at the packaging station, the DRX brings finished door leaves contact-free into the correct position. This protects sensitive surfaces (paint, foil, HPL) from scratches and pressure marks that frequently occur with manual handling.
Choose the DRX if you handle dozens or hundreds of doors daily in your production and surface quality is crucial. For classic panel handling, the UWL-3 is sufficient; for very large or heavy loads, the UWL-5 is the right choice. Asamer clarifies the suitable version with you on-site.
Typical load capacities are between 40 and 150 kg — covering from interior door leaves to front doors with steel cores. Exact dimensioning depends on door material and suction gripper configuration.
Yes — with adapted suction grippers (soft suction cups or vacuum suction surfaces), even high-gloss paints or sensitive foils can be handled without leaving marks. Asamer matches suction technology to your surface material.
The standard version works with an integrated vacuum pump and only needs a power connection. For high-performance variants with fast cycle times, a compressed air connection is optionally available.
